Kernkraftwerk Brokdorf
For PreussenElektra, the commissioning of the Brokdorf NPP back in 1986 was an important milestone. Brokdorf's base-load generation capacity helped to safeguard the electricity price stability, which PreussenElektra had achieved back in 1983, for the long term.
Power-price stability is of the utmost importance, particularly for the more far-flung regions of E.ON Kernkraft's supply area where the economic infrastructure is intricate and, in some cases, quite delicate.
Electricity price stability is as much a political challenge as it is an economic challenge. E.ON Kernkraft is very much aware of this fact, as evidenced by its proactive energy policies.
